First Minister Carwyn Jones AM now knows what Roller Derby is!

As we are the local bike and roller skating shop in Bridgend Town Centre we feel we have an obligation to continually support our local sports at a grass roots level to ensure the sports never die in Bridgend.

 

The YMCA has played an important role in the community at keeping the BMX and Roller Skating communities going in Bridgend while the Bridgend Recreation Centre has been out of use for the past 8 months. It was lovely for Carwyn Jones to take time out his day and pop down to the YMCA and meet all the sporting groups that use the YMCA.

 

If you are interested in BMX, Recreational Skating or Roller Derby in Bridgend, the local groups train at these times.

 

• Cardiff Roller Collective, Roller Derby Training – Every Sunday  - 4:30pm - 6:30pm at Ogmore Comprehensive, Bridgend.

 

• Rink Ratz Recreational Skating – Every Wednesday and Friday  - 7:00pm – 9:00pm at the Bridgend YMCA.

 

• Bridgend Roller Disco – Every Thursday – 7:00pm – 9:00pm – at the Bridgend YMCA.

 

• BMX Bridgend - Every Thursday – 7:00pm – 9:00pm at the Bridgend YMCA.
